Pet Peeve #36: When single females (keyword “single”) announce they are “engaged”, but do not have a ring.

This has been an issue with me for some time and was posted on facebook over a year ago (before I got engaged). I always had a problem with females who are hype to get married, and for some reason, it seems like the level of “hypeness” has increased recently. It drives me crazy! Since when did being in a relationship with someone for a long time, living with your mate or having a baby by someone equals being engaged. If you complete college, your degree or transcript provides validation. If you drive a car, a driver’s license can decide if you are or are not riding dirty. If you are married, your marriage license is proof. If you are engaged your RING proves it! Simple. No rocket science here readers. People use the word “engaged” like they say “boyfriend” or “girlfriend”. Am I tripping or do you not need a ring with someone asking you a question? Is that played out? Is that old fashion? STOP LYING! He is your boyfriend, or she is your girlfriend. Ladies, if he wants to marry you, you will receive a ring with a question. Until then, STOP IT! UGH!

Pet Peeve #35: People who think toe fungus and open-toe shoes go together.

Just thinking about this pet peeve makes me want to throw up in my mouth. I just feel as no one is being totally honest when it comes to open toe shoes. Open-toe shoes and flip flops are for people with presentable feet and toes. Keyword- Presentable! People should not look down and throw up! We fix our face if it does not look right. We make it presentable for the public, and if your feet are exposed to the public, it should follow the same rule. Everything is not for everyone. If you can not see, driving a car is not for you. If you can not speak, working customer service should not be your job. If you can not read, teaching children may not be your cup of tea. If you are 5 feet, 4 inches and 100 pounds, you may want to reconsider being in the NFL and NBA. If you have no rhythm, you most likely will not win “So You Think You Can Dance”. I want to say if you can not sing, a singing career is not for you, but Kandi Burruss has changed the game with “Tardy for the Party” and “The Ring Don’t Mean a Thing” but I digress.... If you have toe fungus, I need you to understand open-toe shoes are not your thing. You can’t do it! Give it up! Please, get professional help before you even say the words “flip flop or sandal”. If you have foul feet and you feel the devil tempting you to wear open-toe shoes remember this, STOP IT! UGH!
